

Is this the factory piece? If so, I believe that it would cover the screw holes made by the dealer, and while I'd still be mad, I'd probably insist only that they get the bracket and properly install it. Now, I've been looking for pictures of the stock bracket and came across this piece:

Obviously, this is completely unacceptable, but since my wife had actually taken the car in (the dealer is over an hour away and the trip would have cost me a day of vacation, whereas she's "between jobs" anyway), she didn't know any different and didn't say anything. (sorry about the poor lighting it's in the garage with the door closed) However, the dealer did NOT use the factory front plate bracket (or ANY bracket, for that matter), opting to simply screw the plate onto my bumper with a pair of screws :shock: We have a front plate law in Texas that is STRICTLY enforced by our local cops who clearly have nothing better to do, so a front plate is a must. While there, they mentioned that the license plates had come in, and mounted them on the car. I had taken my week-old CPO '06 Fusion to the dealer to have them check on the brakes.
